Mass Media Foundation, the OSCE in Uzbekistan, and the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis organized a joint expert roundtable dedicated to the impact of AI on the media sphere.
The Mass Media Foundation, together with the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on Innovative Development and Information Technologies and the Office of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, held a roundtable devoted to the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the media environment.
AI is expanding the capabilities of editorial teams: journalists use chatbots for big data analysis, text editing, and image and video generation. Technological progress is reshaping the architecture of media processes. To regulate AI in the media sector, Uzbekistan adopted a number of legislative amendments this year.
The roundtable participants — journalists, members of parliament, representatives of press services and technology companies — discussed the dynamics of AI adoption in national media. Experts also focused separately on the legal principles governing the fields of AI and mass media.
