Director of the Mass Media Foundation Moderated a Session on Freedom of Speech and Inclusivity in Uzbekistan

The National Conference "EU-Tabassum: Transformation of Media Discourse and the Development of New Voices" concluded in Tashkent. As part of the event, the National Media Forum Media Ayvon – 2026 took place. The Mass Media Foundation provided assistance in organizing a panel session dedicated to issues of freedom of speech and inclusivity in Uzbekistan.

Experts — journalists, editors-in-chief, and PR specialists — discussed the factors that shape the boundaries of freedom of speech. As the speakers noted, financial sustainability and professional coverage can strengthen the independence of media outlets.

The conference is part of the EU-Tabassum project, implemented by the Center for the Development of Modern Journalism and funded by the European Union. It aims to develop media skills, promote gender equality, and expand opportunities for women and youth.
