A Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Mass Media Foundation Agreed to Hold Joint Training Sessions for Journalists

A meeting took place at the Mass Media Foundation with a delegation from the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Central Asia.

As a neutral and independent organization, the ICRC provides humanitarian assistance and psychological support to people affected by armed conflicts, as well as ensuring their protection.

Members of the delegation noted Uzbekistan as a country where peace prevails. At the same time, both sides emphasized that local journalists are required to produce content related to armed conflicts in various parts of the world — work that demands a high level of professionalism and strict adherence to ethical standards.

The Mass Media Foundation and the leadership of the ICRC Regional Delegation agreed to hold joint training sessions aimed at strengthening the legal and ethical competencies of journalists.
