The Mass Media Foundation has launched a large-scale project to assist in the creation of content that does not allow distortion and replication of gender stereotypes through the media.

The Foundation sent an open letter to AIMC asking for assistance in conducting a study of audio, video, Internet and printed products for gender bias. And received a positive response. However, it turned out that professional training of specialists is necessary for this.

In this regard, the Fund organized a three-day training for employees of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which began today. Its goal is to train, with the help of international and national experts, to monitor and analyze the content of our media for gender sensitivity.

Based on the results of the analysis, a guide for the media will be drawn up, which will reflect the main mistakes made and stereotypes ingrained in society, as well as recommendations on how to deal with it.
