The Mass Media Foundation, together with the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Central Asia, the Red Crescent Society of Uzbekistan, and the Media Content Training Center under the Presidential Administration, held a joint educational seminar. Its topic was "Media and International Humanitarian Law."

Today's world is, unfortunately, facing an increasingly frequent escalation of violence. In this challenging environment, journalists and bloggers bear an enormous responsibility: to cover events as objectively as possible.

Speakers from the International Committee of the Red Cross shared information with participants about the norms of international humanitarian law, which must be upheld during armed conflicts.

The experts separately addressed issues related to covering crisis situations, explaining how to maintain impartiality and neutrality under the most difficult conditions.

At the conclusion of the seminar, members of the press had the opportunity to have their questions on the topic answered.
